we display 5 values instead of 10 values by using two ways.
1.in universe level
2.Report level.
In universe level File-->parameters--> control-->limit the result set.where u can specify the values how many values u want display.
In Report level(Webi).Go to properties tab-->limit the result set.

restrict the values to display.

why dont u use the filter & restrict the value to five
or go for the prompt & select only 5 values u want..

can customize the query...at the webi level...

Lov's are based on only one object. For setting the
restriction over the object
go to object properties-->select edit--->select options
button at the left lower edge of the query pannel

there you can set the restriction for the lov's of the
particular object.
