Hi, I just have a question regarding my PhD admission with North Dakota State University without assistantship. I have already completed my Masters from NDSU and was working in the US for a couple of years, I however returned to India last year. I was in touch with my guide concerning pursuing my PhD at NDSU. I have now been offered admission at NDSU for the PhD program for Fall 2010, and I have also finalized my research area (extension of Master's research area), however I have not been given an official assistantship / aid letter from my department. My department is however saying that I will be definitely offered assistantship if I land up at NDSU in Fall. My concern is now about the Visa interview in which I will have to show personal liquid funds for 5 years of doctoral study. Can you please suggest a way by which I wont be asked to show 5 years of funding..since I have unofficially got the assurance of aid/tuition waiver. Please let me know.

hello everyone I have a question which is making me tense as I have visa interview in next 2 days.I am a current student from virginia international university with F-1 visa.Due to some reasons I am going to attend visa again before it got expired.Unfortunately I couldn't drop my documents because i have transferred my university.Now,as I have interview in 2 days I am worried about this question.I will be thankful if anyone could suggest any conveniencing aswers for this question. I'm from sri lanka. i applied to enter the Univercity of North texas for the next semester. i done it through a local person. he is the one who handled all the document things. after paying my tutuion fees he took 6 more months to give me a reply. fianlly he gave me this I-20. but i have a small quiz. that is i don't know he has paid the money to the univercity which i have given him. if not after arrving usa, i will get a big problem. how can i make sure that everything is ok and i got the I-20 because the payment is ok?
