Hi siva and Karthika,
This is Raj,I attended my interview in Chennai
perambur. I called and asked the SBI head office. One lady
from Recruitment department attended the call, she told me
that results will be declared in September. Do you have any
idea about the number of vacancy? I mean to ask Have they
increased the vacancy?

I wondered that the result would be in September...All we
are expecting it in July...Did you ask her about the reason?...
Regarding the vacancies, I heard that they are increased at
30%...

I did not ask the reason and all, She did not even
wait for my next question, As soon as she answered my
question she put down the receiver. She was busy I think..

Then that is not chennai recruitment cell,HR
department mumbai, The number is 022-22820667...

How do u say that they have increased the
vacancies by 30%? From where did u hear this?

@Rajasekaran,

oops!! I thought that you asked in Chennai... Can we
get Chennai number, they may have any reliable idea...is it
possible to get that number?...
And My father's friend who is working as an AGM in
SBI, told him about the vacancies increased... It is true or
not,Let us wait & see... Do you have any idea about the
result date?...

@ Karthika and Rajasekaran,

I mentioned regarding the results might be declared in sept
few days back. SBI mumbai HR cell gave me the same number i
think and i have mentioned in the forum. Dont know if the
people there are giving the true and correct info. I
sincerely hope the result comes this week. regarding the
increase in intake i dont think there is a formal
announcement made on the same and thus we can assume there
is none. With SBI we can only speculate but can't get the
correct info.

@Siva,

Thanks for the information.... I agree with you that the
results will be in this week...Do you have any idea about
the cut-off marks for GEN category?...

Actually they dont have the necessity to delay the
result declaration proess unless there is a valid reason.
I think they are waiting either for the conformation of pay
scale for the new joinees (since the new wage agreement
ensures 17.5% hike which comes to effect after July) or for
confirming the number of vacancies in each State and Union
territory as per their requirements.

And Karthika, She told me that results will be
declared on 10th September.

Siva, It will be good if the results are declared by
this week as you said..

@ Rajasekaran,

I think the confirmation of pays and all etc should have
started effective from May 2010. But that again should be a
different process not related to recruitment. For recruiting
new people they know the new scale so no issues in
implementing. Don't know why they are making it late. Taking
11,000 - 13,000 odd people and confirming them to the
respective states maybe an issue that is delaying.

@ Karthika,

I really dont know the cut-off for Gen category applicants,
i have also applied through the Gen category only.

suddenly this forum has become quiet and only three os us
discussing. Requesting all to contribute also through their
views. we can do two things, all can get info from each
state and contribute and also we can have a poll of sorts of
how many people from each state applied
