Answer / maitri
Autaclaving is done for sterilization of culture media and
the glass equipments. The main principle is to maintain high
temperature and high pressure inside an equipment. The
maintained pressure is 15lbs and temperature is 121^C. In
that condition of temperature and pressure the
microorganisms are killed.

The main principle involved in autoclaving is,sterilization
i.e, inorder to kill the microorganisms. The temperature
level is 121C and the pressure level is 15lbps,after
reaching 15lbps it should be kept for still 15min,then it
will be completely sterilized!!!!!!

Answer / shriniwas
the main principle of autoclave is to sterilize the
material under a very high steam pressure so that it can
easily penetrate the material and destroy the micro
organism.the temperature of 121 degree celcius/15 ibs
pressure is maintained for 15 min for the complete
destruction of the micro organism.

Lbs pressure.AT THIS TEMPERATURE IT WILL destroy the
thermophillic bacterias also if we exceed the temperature or
pressure it will degrade our media
