How does US visa officer verify the educational certificates at the time of visa interview. Do they actually cross check anything.

I got f1 visa rejected in dec'10, at t5hat time i did not mentioned my immediate uncles's name in Ds160 form who lives in US and has a citizenship.Now i am applying 2nd time. Do i have to mention his name although in first interview i told visa officer i do not have immediate relative in US? Is this the reason of my rejection? I am confused!!! please answer!!!!

hi frnds this is naresh.i have some doubts on visa questions.i hv 72% in my B.tech,and 103 toefl score,1050 GRE.but i was spnsred by my uncle(not parents).Is there any chance to reject visa by this.pls let me out of this frustations by giving ur valuable suggestions.thank u

Hie frnds If I said to VO that My brother had done MS in US and he is now planning to pursue phd If at all VO asks r u going to US to meet ur family members and mingle with them In my view if I tell that "Sir my main aim is to pursue my ms and there will be no matter for me that there is any relation is there or not in US I am going only to complete my MS" Is this answer is right r not If not what I have to say If there are any corrections then plzz tell me

I have done my MBA (finance and marketing) in 2004 and have worked for 5 years. Now I want to apply for MBA program in USA.Please let me know if Visa officer at consultate puts me a question, why do you want to go for MBA again ? According to US what exactly a backlog mean ? when v repeat a subject twice is it considered as two backlog or as just taken as one backlog...??? and r backlogs taken with respective to subjects or additional certificates..???

Dear, One of my close friend is in B2 Visa. Twice she went in B2 and came back to india. First trip to US in June 2008 and second trip to US in Oct 2008. Now she applied for F1 Visa and she got her I-20 from the University of Florida. Kindly let me know, what are the possible questions from the immigration and Visa guys? Thanks and Regards Subashini
