I understand the question as upgrading systems in company
and not for particlular user.
Points in whihc systems can be upgraded
1.It should be done when the machines are going out of
warranty
2. When machines are not compatible with any new technolgies
3. Depending on the new technolgy which hardware is
required to upgrade will be decided.
4. For individiual machines hardware is recommended by the
result/analysis of troubleshooting

In the Load Testing ..
Each User Takes Appro 2 MB for the to perform one full
transaction.
Based on the this calculation if the system RAM is less the
then the Vuser’s Usage Memory we can recommend the system
upgrade
For Ex : If the system is having 500 MB RAM and you want to
test for 400 Users , then you can recommend the system
upgrade

There is scenario. Total no. of transaction you have to done 1,00,000 in 8 Hour duration. One transaction taking time to complete 6 mins. how many Vusers you will run on this test.
