Hello,
purpose of ARP:- [Address Resolution Protocol]
ARP defines the exchanges between network interfaces
connected to an Ethernet media segment in order to map an IP
address to a link layer address on demand. Link layer
addresses are hardware addresses on Ethernet cards and IP
addresses are logical addresses assigned to machines
attached to the Ethernet. Subsequently in this chapter, link
layer addresses may be known by many different names:
Ethernet addresses, Media Access Control (MAC) addresses,
and even hardware addresses
purpose of IP config:-
IP CONFIG will display only the IP address, subnet mask and
default gateway for each adapter bound to TCP/IP.
IP CONFIG will display all the current TCP/IP configuration
values including the IP address, subnet mask, default
gateway and Windows Internet Naming Service (WINS) and DNS
configuration.
