a store manager is a person is responsible for all the
stores activities in a particular organistion.so I mention
certain responsibilities in one by one
1 select the good supplier for sending the materials
2 prepare a budget for mentioning the amount needed in the
stores department
3 check the purchase requsition note
4 keep the proper store records(bin card, stores ledger,)
5 select the types of stores needed in the organisation.
(centralised, decentralised, centralised stores with sub
stores)
6 Maintain proper stock levels of materials( minimum,
maximum, average, danger, reorder level)
7 Prepare the stock turnover ratio.
8 Avoid the stores losses(normal,abnormal)
9 Use the proper pricing methods for an issue of materials
in to the production departement
10 maintain the good relationship with the suppliers.

A store managers job is not only looking at availibility of
goods or commodities in the store but also hiring of new
staff, control shrinkage, look at the day to day welfare of
the store employees, communicating with the vendors,
accounts etc. In short he is the one who is resoponsible
for the complete store.

of production by material requistion as per order of
material under p.o.Arrange the good ware house,handling
equipment good staff, store keeper,care the proper and
damaged/shortage material and maintain the higer stock
level/ maximum stock level/reorder stock level and maintain
the ware house good and clean, daily veryfing
incoming/outgoing and daily stock on hand,follow the
delivery schedule as per purchase order,arrange the
inventory of stock every three month.Use the material
FIFO.Prepared the list of fast moving/slow moving and not
useable material.maintain the proper document receipt/issue.

previous records analysis
Support purchase department for planning the procurement of
requisite equipment and material for stores

Overall responsibility of checking out deviations and
control of stores inventories.
Review the audit reports and take correction measures as
suggested. Conduct the departmental/Contractors
reconciliation and carry out adjustments with finance as
per the outcome of the report.
Review the ageing of slow/non moving materials and conduct
their disposal as per the laid down policies.
Planning of the Audits and its compliance.
System/process/Procedures compliance within norms of the
company.
