If HT voltage rating is always in multiple with 11, then
how we get 25kV,400kV,800kV?
It is a standard of AC voltage to maintain.

Why should be the frequency 50 hz 60hz only why not others like 45, 95 56 or anything , why should we maintain the frequency constant if so why it is only 50 hz 60hz?
In case of HV test on medium voltage cables, BS is asking for 4 U0 where as IEC is asking for 3.5 U0. Can any one advise me how this 3.5 times or 4 times U0 is derived?
