Neutral is nothing but a point which doesnt have any
potential at all ie) 0V. We know in AC voltage varies from
+V to -V. To create a potential difference which obviously
make a current flow, neutral is used. In otherwords to form
a closed circuit neutral is used which absorbs the
electrons from a high potential region. With out neutral
aclosed circiut cannot be formed in onne phase.

Brushes are placed at magnetically neutral axis,when brushes reach that point,the armature conductor gets shorted,but it can be seen that the dc supply is also shorted,wont that get damage? help me plz
