What is Version Control?

Answer Posted / swathi

Version control system is a centralized repository(storage
area) files/data's.Once you enter the vcs you will hold the
lock and no one else can go in to see or change details
until you enter in again.
Even after you add in a new requirement or document the old
one won't be erased off.It will maintain the history and
also the details of who did what.
This helps in better communication of various teams.
