why glass is more elastic than rubber?

Answer Posted / risheeth deshpande

Its a very fine question and answer to this cannot be given
with a practical knowledge. one should know that youngs
modulus of steel is greater than youngs modulus of
rubber, and youngs modulus is inversely proportional to the
elongation of any material. So elongation of rubber is more
than steel so Y steel > Y rubber, the property of elasticity
depends on the value of youngs modulus. Therefore steel is
said to be more elastic than rubber
