Earning before Interest Depreciation tax adjustments,the
real operating cash earnings of a firm unaffected by depn
taxes etc as accounting principles differ leading to
different depn and new capital intensive ventures have
larger depn.also companies might be actually gaining in
operations but the tax and interest obligations may lead to
low or negative profits in financial statements.
