What is severiety and priority of the bug?how do they
effect u to report the defect in the builds?
Answer Posted / purni
Hi,
severity is the complexity of the bug. There are 4 types
of bug 1. Low level bug which means cosmetic bugs like
spelling mistakes.
2. Medium level bugs - which effect the functionality of the
more than one requirements.
3. High level bugs - which effects the functionality of the
more the 5 requirements.
4. Critical bug - show stopper, until we fix it we can't
proceed for the further testing.
Priority is decided by the developers depending on the
severity of the bug. Priority is given by the criticality of
the bug.
