reactive power is that power that flows to and fro in the
load and it does not have any active part in the load and it
will not be absorbed by the load and where as active power
tha load absorbs tha real power ie VI cosphi apparent
power is the vector sum of the two

IN induction motor pf is increased using capacitors.what will be the effect on motor and system when very large capacitor is accidently installed and pf goes leading.

For a 6.6kV Motor it is recommended to do megger test with 500 V d.c and not more than 5kV d.c but the Hi voltage withstand test should be performed by 12kV AC. Why the dc voltage test should be limited but AC voltage withstand test could be with such a high voltage?
