dode is an electronic device which is the combination of p
and ntype semiconductors.due to this a potential barrier is
formed and this will not allow current when the diode is
reverse biased due to the extension of potential
barrier.diode allows current in farward biased mod due to
the minimised potential barrier.so it isused to convert a.c
supply to d.c supply.
