What is mean CT Saturation? How to calculate?

CT saturation occurs when secondary of CT is left open while
primary is carrying the line current. Enormous flux is build
up in the core due to primary current, secondary being open
there is no counter flux to control it. As a result, CT core
saturates. Hence, CT Secondary should not be left open while
primary being enerzized. It should be rather shorted by
closing CT shorting contacts.
No idea about calculation...
