Why https is considered safer than http?

Answer Posted / chandrasekaran

https is an encrypted communication channel using SSL. So
when any information is via https, it is sent via an
encrypted tunnel. So basically the only people who should
see the unencrypted data are the people on either end of
the tunnel. So, https is safer.
