Describe different approaches to text-to-speech (TTS) synthesis?
Answer Posted / Ashish Kumar Johri
Text-to-Speech synthesis can be approached using several methods. Rule-based TTS uses a series of phonetic rules to convert text into speech, while example-based TTS generates speech by copying similar existing audio samples. Statistical parametric synthesis (SPS) models the pronunciation, prosody, and articulation aspects of speech separately. Deep learning-based approaches such as deep neural networks and long short-term memory (LSTM) can learn to generate high-quality speech from large amounts of data.
