What is gastrulation? How during gastrulation are the first two germ layers formed?
Answer Posted / Pradeep Kumar Mishra
Gastrulation is a critical stage in embryonic development where the three primary germ layers (ectoderm, mesoderm, and endoderm) form. During gastrulation, cells migrate from the blastula stage to create these layers. The first two germ layers are formed when cells called mesenchyme migrate through an opening called the blastopore, which becomes the anus in most animals. The ectoderm layer forms the outermost layer of the embryo and gives rise to the skin, nervous system, sensory organs, and epidermis.n
