What are the benefit of storing jars/external dependencies in the local repository instead of a remote one?
Answer Posted / Kunal Sinha
Storing JARs or external dependencies in the Local Repository has several benefits: 1) Faster Build Speeds: Since the artifacts are already downloaded, subsequent builds don't need to wait for the download again. 2) Offline Mode: You can still build your project even if you're not connected to the internet. 3) Reduced Bandwidth Usage: Downloading the same dependencies multiple times over a network consumes bandwidth. By storing them locally, this issue is minimized.
