Subculture refers to a smaller group within a larger culture that shares common attitudes, behaviors, values, or interests. It is still generally aligned with and accepts the dominant culture's norms. Counterculture, on the other hand, consists of subgroups that reject and challenge mainstream values, ideologies, and social norms.
