DTS stands for Data Transfer Services. It was introduced in
sql server 7.0.
In sql server 2000 DTS was a bit advanced by adding
scripting like VB Scripting. Previously DTS was a wizard
kind of thing so now DBA's were finding it difficult to
write the scripts which was easily done by developers.In
2005 it came as Integration Service.
