Outlook Anywhere (RPC over HTTP) and OWA (Outlook Web Access) are both methods to access your Exchange Server email from outside your network, but they serve slightly different purposes. Outlook Anywhere is used by Outlook 2003 and later clients to connect to the server when NAT or firewall prevents direct TCP/IP connections, while OWA provides a web-based interface for accessing emails directly in any modern web browser.
