Address sharing, also known as Network Address Translation (NAT), allows multiple devices on a private network to share a single public IP address. This technique conserves IP addresses and reduces the need for each device to have its own unique IP address. It provides security benefits by hiding internal network topology and makes it more difficult for outside attackers to access individual devices.
