What is the difference between broadcast domain and collision domain?

In computer networking, a broadcast domain refers to a group of devices that are all able to receive broadcast messages sent by any device within the domain. A collision domain, on the other hand, refers to the set of all devices connected to the same segment of a network over which data collisions can occur. In other words, all devices in a collision domain can hear each other's transmissions and may interfere with one another, while devices in separate broadcast domains cannot receive broadcast messages sent by devices outside their own domain.
