Through the inherent authority of the court and the
Statewide Grievance Committee, the Judicial Branch oversees
attorney discipline through the Statewide Bar Counsel?s
Office and the Chief Disciplinary Counsel?s Office.
The grievance process begins when a complaint is filed with
the Statewide Bar Counsel. The Chief Disciplinary Counsel?s
Office pursues those complaints before the Statewide
Grievance Committee, in which there has been a finding of
probable cause. The Chief Disciplinary Counsel?s Office
also litigates disciplinary matters in court.
The Connecticut Practice Book contains the Rules of
Professional Conduct and the grievance procedure.

My neighbor (a very old working woman) had a PPF A/c in SBI, on 31st of March 2010 it completed its 15 year term and hence the same was eligible for withdrawl, she duly filled up the redemption form and asked the bank to redeem the amount. On 14th of April 2010, the bank issued a pay order but deducted bank charges (as the savings account is with another bank), SBI has nearly deducted bank charges of about 25000/- from her. My neighbor didnt have a bank account in SBI, her account is in IDBI and SBI has deducted the charges for preparing a pay order. Here no service is being rendered but rather its bank obligation to make the payment, Pls help. It would be good if we can help her!!
Hi I am Paranita, I am holding H1B visa from 15-Jan-2012 and valid for next 3 years. I have applied the visa through my a MNC from india and they commited to send me with in few days after visa approved but it is already 6 months still nothing has been materialised and no idea when there will be any USA travel processing. My question, is it advisable to leave the company and change a new one in india, and again whether the visa will valid if i will change the company and in future if i will get any project to work from USA with this visa.

A new company like Reliance power, yet to start the project, charged investors heavily in the name of premium. Also deuped the govt by avoiding payment of fees on authorised capital as otherwise for this amount the company would have been required to pay a good money to the govt. Sir, My client A is doing job work on piece rate basis for B a establishment in Baddi in Himachal Pradesh and .His labour are working in Baddi Himschal Pradesh. and the payment was made to A after confirmation from the Quality confirmation department of the establishments and calculated on piece rate basis. Here B is exempted from excise duty from Excise. A has done work up to Feb, 2016t , 2009 nearly Rs15 - 20 lacs in total up to date . he is not charge any Service Tax. Pls advice in this case service tax is exempted if job work is done in excise exempt unit. Pls confirm in this case service Tax is exempted or not. If not exempted the then what amount b has to pay service tax.
