Hi , The Domain concept arises in Informatica version 8,
we have global integration service where in which we can
have domains and each domain can be configured to diffrent
environments, and each domain can be configured to have
diffrent nodes and we can assign a particular workflow to
run on different nodes , and Informatica corporation can
customize for particular node for better performance
and moreover if particaular workflow fails due to
connectivity problems , it automatically reassigns to
some other node which is avaialable
