In SAP HANA, a Transaction Manager manages all database transactions within one system or distributed environment. It ensures data consistency by committing or rolling back transactions. A Session represents an active user session on the HANA database and includes open database connections. The Transaction Manager assigns sessions to the available workers for processing.
