What are the row-based and column based approach? : bw on hana
Answer Posted / Sanjay Sahani
"Row-Based approach": refers to a data loading method where each record in the source system corresponds to a single row in the target InfoCube or table. Each attribute of the record is stored in a separate column. This approach is suitable for small and medium-sized InfoCubes with few attributes. "Column-Based approach": on the other hand, loads data more efficiently by storing multiple rows with the same attribute in the same column. This method is recommended for large InfoCubes with many attributes. Both approaches can be used in SAP HANA BW (Business Warehouse)."
