XODATA (OData service) is a technology for building RESTful web services and APIs, while XSJS (JavaScript runtime environment) is a runtime environment for executing JavaScript functions in the SAP HANA database. XODATA is beneficial when you want to expose your data as an API, whereas XSJS is useful when you need to execute JavaScript code directly within the SAP HANA database.
