What is the difference between Proof-of-Stake(PoS) and Proof-of-Work(PoW)?
Answer Posted / Varun Kumar Sharma
Proof-of-Work (PoW) and Proof-of-Stake (PoS) are consensus mechanisms used in blockchain networks to validate transactions and add new blocks. PoW, as used by Bitcoin, requires miners to solve complex mathematical problems to validate transactions and earn rewards. In contrast, PoS relies on 'validators' who must stake or lock a certain amount of cryptocurrency to participate in the validation process. Validators are chosen probabilistically based on the amount they have staked.
