Are there issues when exporting SSRS reports into Microsoft Excel? When my users are trying to export a SSRS report into Microsoft Excel, one or two columns in the report appear to merge together. Why might this be?

Answer Posted / Ved Prakash Yadav

Merging columns during Excel export may occur due to differences in data types between SSRS and Excel. For example, if a date column is exported as text instead of a date, it could cause unexpected formatting issues. To fix this, make sure your data types are consistent across both systems, or use the 'Text' data type for columns that may not align perfectly with Excel.
