The portrayals of Jesus in each of the four canonical Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—have subtle yet significant differences. In John's Gospel, Jesus is often depicted as a divine figure, with a stronger emphasis on his pre-existence, divine wisdom, and his relationship with God the Father. Compared to the Synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark, and Luke), John's portrayal presents Jesus as more of a teacher and philosopher.
