Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is not the same as screen scraping or macros. While screen scraping involves extracting data from a user interface directly and is prone to breakage when UI changes, RPA provides more robust automation by simulating human interactions with applications. Macros, on the other hand, are pre-recorded sequences of keystrokes and mouse clicks typically used for automating repetitive tasks within a specific application.
