Extensions in SAP Hybris are custom functionalities developed by extending the existing system, which can modify or add new features to the platform. They usually interact with the core system through APIs and events. Add-ons, on the other hand, are pre-built, self-contained modules that can be easily integrated into the SAP Hybris platform without modification. Add-ons provide additional functionality but do not change the behavior of the existing system.
