What is the dc grounding system and what is diff between AC/DC grounding system?
Answer Posted / Rishikant
The DC grounding system is used to safely connect a direct current (DC) circuit to the earth or ground. The primary purpose of this system is to prevent electrical shock and equipment damage by providing a safe path for excess current to flow. A DC grounding system typically consists of a ground rod, conduit, and ground wire.
The main difference between AC/DC grounding systems lies in their design and operation due to the different nature of alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC). An AC grounding system is designed to handle the changing voltage and current that occurs with AC power, while a DC grounding system is designed for the constant voltage and current found in DC circuits.
AC systems are typically used for household and industrial applications, whereas DC systems are commonly found in batteries, solar panels, and other low-voltage applications.
