Conversion testing is done for certain features of the application which are converted to higher level or feature such as versions, for languages or zones etc. For example by default all the applications are developed in English language, the conversion testing takes place when this application is converted to other languages etc., or Feature wise if any currency, date-time, zones, specific operation are required to perform then this type of testing is carried out for various standards available. Or sometimes the existing operating system of application on which it gets ported might be converted to other operating systems, then also this type of testing is carried out.
