Why does a body weigh more at the poles than at the equator?
Answer Posted / garvit
an object is weighed more at the poles due to the earth's shape. earth is more bulged out near the equator and flattened at the poles due to the flattening, the radius is comparatively shorter. we know F=GM1M2/R^2 and here, radius is inversely proportional to the force.
