dhcp (dynamic host configuration protocol) it is provide the ip address automaticaly in network.in detail if you have 500 computer network then u should be used dhcp server it is not possible that u give the ip address in each system in network this situation u configure dhcp server in single system and u can provide the ip address from single system through dhcp
