Why water can’t be used as refrigerant for small refrigerating equipment ?

water cant de used as refrigerant in some cooling purposes because during condensation the vapour is converted to liquid and from condnsation to expansion temperature is reducted to a lot and the throttled valve is blocked so to eliminate this other refrigerants like methane etc is uesd
