Electromagnet:-IT CONSISTS OF ALL COIL copper wire wound closely over a solid core of softs iron. When an electric current is passed through the coil, the core becomes a powerful magnet. These are used for producing intense magnetic field, in research and in smaller forms in a large number of electromagnetic appliances like calling bell, telephone, telegraph sets etc..
