How does the snake move over the ground ?

The snake move by the passages of series f waves each wave in its turn presses the surrounding medium and forces the animal forward. The snake has also another machinery. The scale of the lower surface are enlarged to from transverse over lapping place whose free edge is directed backward and these plates has a pair of movable ribs. The ribs help the snake to slip forward or push forward.
