Explain the Friction and Equilibrium ?

Answer Posted / aman kumar mishra

No surface of a solid is perfectly smooth. When two bodies are pressed together, it is found that there is resistance offered to the sliding of one upon the other. This resistance is called the force of friction.

Limiting friction:-The maximum value of the force of friction exerted ehrn one body is just at the point of striking upon another is called limiting friction. When force tending to produce motion becomes grater than this, the body begins to move.
