what is the difference between extinct and endangered species?

EXTINCT-extinct specie are the species that were already dead.
we cannot do to save them as they were dead.
EX-dodo,calveria plant,dinosaurs,bill clinton etc.

ENDANGERED-endangered are the species which are becoming to extinct.
we can do something to save them.
EX-tiger, sparrow,giant panda,african wild dog etc.
