when a monochromatic light of intensity I* incident on a absorbing medium then intensity of tranmitted light l is given by the concentration of medium sloution and length of absorbing path .
A= log(I*/I)
Or
A=€CL
where A is absorbance of medium .
C is concentration of solution through which light is passed .
