Compaction: To Remove the air voids by using heavy machinery, vibrating layer by layer.
Consolidation. its the practice of providing of water showering to remove the air voids and hallow spaces from soil.
Basically the compaction and consolidation are two are completing together at sides for the best load bearing capacity.
