Weigh accurately 6.80g(±0.001g) of potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KH2PO4) and dissolve it in 1L-volumetric flask which contains already like 300mL of pure water ; then weigh accurately 0.90g(±0.001g) of NaOH that you transfer into the same flask, shakes well to homogenize the solution. The last step is all about topping up to the volume. surely that prepared solution will have exactly pH 6.8 and there in no need to adjust pH with other chemicals.
