What is the thumb rule for calculating the number of chairs in slab?

1. Chairs are provided for maintain the proper gap between the 1st layer & 2nd layer.
2. In IS Code it is not mentioned the chair spacing.
3. As per my experience it should be provided 1 chair in 1 sqm.
4. If the slab is 6 sqm then there will we use 6 nos of chairs
