The unit parts per million (ppm) is numerically equivalent to mg/L. So 1000 ppm of methylene blue solution is equal to 1000 mg/L. Weigh 1000 mg or 1 g of methylene blue and dissolve it, let me say with 100 mL of ethanol and adjust the final volume of the solution to 1L. You can also prepare 0.1 g of methylene blue and dissolve it with 100 mL of ethanol. That 's 1000 ppm too.
